Clio Austin is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with over 20 years of experience across clinical exercise physiology, chronic disease management, occupational rehabilitation and women’s health. She works with individuals of all ages and health backgrounds.
Clio holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Human Movement and a Master of Workplace Injury Management and Occupational Rehabilitation. She is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Accredited Exercise Scientist and member of Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
Clio takes an evidence-based, individualised approach to exercise, helping clients improve metabolic health, build and preserve muscle, increase strength and physical capacity, and support long-term health.
Clio has a particular interest in women’s health, including the impact of perimenopause and menopause on body composition, muscle mass, bone density and metabolic function.
Her approach combines clinical expertise with practical, sustainable exercise strategies tailored to each individual’s health needs and goals.
Clio is passionate about helping people move beyond the number on the scales to focus on what matters for their long-term health: maintaining muscle, improving physical function and building a stronger, healthier body.
Drawing on her experience in chronic disease management and occupational rehabilitation, Clio tailors exercise safely to a wide range of health conditions, goals and stages of life.
We know starting exercise can feel daunting, especially with pain, injuries, or medical concerns. Clio’s aim is to make you feel safe, supported, and confident as you reintroduce movement — one step at a time.
Clio works closely alongside MedSurg’s doctors, dietitians, and psychologists to ensure each patient’s exercise plan is holistic, personalised, and aligned with their broader care goals.
Whether you are managing weight, building strength, managing a chronic condition, or navigating hormonal changes, Clio provides structured, evidence-based exercise programs designed for safety, sustainability, and measurable outcomes.
