Dr Amy Coe is an experienced General Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, respectful and high-quality care in bariatric medicine. Since completing her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2013, Dr Amy has discovered a passion for holistic, long-term care, ultimately guiding her into the field of general practice.
She enjoys supporting individuals of all genders across the lifespan to achieve their health goals. Her approach is collaborative and respectful — working closely with patients to help them understand their health conditions, set realistic goals, and take meaningful steps toward improved wellbeing.
Dr Amy leads our ADHD assessment service at MedSurg Weight Loss, providing a supportive and structured pathway for adults seeking assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management of ADHD.
At MedSurg Weight Loss, we recognise that ADHD and metabolic health are closely connected. Research increasingly shows that ADHD can significantly impact a person’s relationship with food, eating behaviour, physical activity, sleep, and weight management. For many patients, understanding and treating their ADHD is an important part of their overall health and weight loss journey.

If you have been wondering whether ADHD may be contributing to challenges with your weight, energy, or daily functioning, Dr Amy can help you understand your symptoms and explore the options available to you.
Outside of her professional life, Dr Amy stays active and busy as a mum to two young children. She finds joy in gardening, music, and spending time outdoors.
