World Obesity Day 2026 – Our GP Education Session

On 7 March 2026, to mark World Obesity Day, the MedSurg Weight Loss medical and allied health team delivered a practitioner education session titled "Obesity Care in General Practice — what GPs need to know in 2026". The session was proudly sponsored by Eli Lilly and hosted by our education partners, Inovating.

The session brought together GPs and primary care practitioners to explore the latest evidence and practical frameworks for managing obesity in a general practice setting — covering assessment, treatment options, and the role of specialist referral.

Access the CPD Activity Online

If you were unable to attend in person, the full activity is now available on the Inovating CPD platform. This includes the session recording, post-activity requirements, evaluation, and your certificate — so GPs can still complete the activity and obtain their CPD hours at a time that suits them.
