About the Series
Between May and September 2024, MedSurg Weight Loss co-hosted a monthly GP Education Series with St Vincent's Private Hospital Northside — delivering a structured, evidence-based overview of obesity's impact on systemic disease and current clinical intervention strategies.
Each session was designed to equip general practitioners and specialists with practical, actionable insights into managing obesity-related complications across a range of body systems. The series reflected a growing recognition that obesity is not a single-organ condition — it affects virtually every system in the body and requires a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach to care.

Each monthly session was RACGP endorsed for CPD hours, including Reviewing Performance points — supporting clinician professional development and contributing to annual CPD requirements for general practitioners.
