Dr Amy Coe is an experienced General Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, respectful and high-quality care in bariatric medicine. Since completing her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2013, Dr Amy has discovered a passion for holistic, long-term care, ultimately guiding her into the field of general practice. She enjoys supporting individuals of all genders across the lifespan to achieving their health goals. Her approach is collaborative and respectful, working closely with individuals to help them understand their health conditions, set realistic goals, and take meaningful steps toward improved wellbeing.
Dr Amy offers dedicated weight management consultations, where she provides tailored, non-judgemental support to help patients address metabolic health, nutrition, physical activity, behavioural change, and medical/surgical options where appropriate. She is passionate about reducing weight stigma in healthcare and empowering patients to improve their health without shame or blame. Dr Amy is committed to ongoing learning and is proud to be part of a community of GPs leading change in the way we think about and manage weight and metabolic health.
Outside of her professional life, Dr Amy stays active and busy as a mum to two young children. She finds joy in gardening, music, and spending time outdoors.
